Course Detail:
The primary intention is to work a variety of texts, of themselves
different branches of law, with a very specific terminology, to try to provide solutions
specific texts. Therefore, both the terminology
particular work of specific areas
the law as various techniques of legal translation. In all work will be very productive
conclusions that can be extrapolated
daily work of the translator or interpreter.
Each week will be placed on the platform with its corresponding text
tab indicating the type of request received and the client to be directed
hypothetically. On Friday we will all participants in the chat
platform to discuss the
difficulties encountered and possible solutions.
For each text, students will:
-find a parallel text (when possible) and documented on the general
specific branch of law and its terminology to the translation
-
-reflect and explain what was their position when d translated (in general terms
: respect original format
names of institutions and laws, etc)
-identify difficulties encountered and reflect on the solution adopted
-
participate in the chat-at the end of each chat, develop a glossary of key terms
own document type
-hang your proposed course forum
-compare its proposal with the tutor and fellow
-reflect on what they learned with each exercise
The course has been created and is taught by Lola Gamboa. Taking advantage of the webinar will be credited
through
certified bilingual (English-English) with indication of areas of law and
worked a total commitment of 80 hours.
